[Archivé] Ever Deem Ever Need [Eden]
Mer 18 Déc 2019 - 3:32
A compass in hand, he followed the direction.
In dark night. On a silent street. Words howled loudly in his mind- Eden escaped.
Since a magic match of JO, he had noticed her outstanding performance; at that time, she was just a determined woman knowing magic he thought, not worthy of spending a pint of time on her after the game.
Only a waste.
Getting to know her name was later from a bunch of kids playing playing house in the park. Name ran over the whole town. Everyone was gossiping about her capture. Being hard to not giving a thought on it so he was forced to accept it.
Until the breaking news out- she made an escape from the jail, did he get a bit of knowledge of how powerful this woman “might” be. Mingling his fate of birth and stirred rebellion, he would like to do something on it.
So that’s why, he was here.
Before a gate, without hesitation, he ringed the bell.
Getting a paper and a pen from his finger drawing, a note written:
Someone you need.
In order not to spoil the secret...
A blow with slight snap, which tore the paper into pieces, flying through the grill. He believed with her intelligence, she would know how to make it completed.
Waiting for the calling, Coi snickered.

Re: [Archivé] Ever Deem Ever Need [Eden]

It was a dark night, like often on Cruor. Eden was with a client, a lover. He did not really know the difference. It was not very evident. Everyone was covering her with gifts, and money, and she was telling everyone what they wanted to hear, doing everyone what the wanted her to do them. And yet, he perfectly knew she was staying master of the game: everyone was doing what she wanted. She might be one of the more actives in the search of new souls for the darkness. And him, during that time, was fulfilling his mission: staying with her. Being the stronger. Like if she needed someone to protect her, her the most powerful magicien ever seen, her who could make the planet explode in a finger snap.
He sighed. Of course, he did not sleep. He had the sensation of never be asleep. Of course, eh was sometimes. He had a light sleep, he was always vigilant. He was listening to the noises, in the house, around the house. He knew, now, Eden had finished what she was doing. He had a cold smile in the corner of his mouth: the man did not last long. He was pretty sure Eden would go for him later. This also was one of the reasons he did not sleep a lot: she could enter in the room any moment, and being asleep would be a sign of weakness.
But something unexpected happened. A bell rang. Someone at the door. The man stood up, and went to the front door. There was someone at the gate, yes. Someone small.
*A kid ?*
He frowned. Eden did not react, but something in himself whispered that if a kid was standing there, so straight, there was something. His instinct was awake. No normal kid would go there in the middle of the night. He opened the door, and saw more clearly. It was a teenager, dress in white and blue. He had dark hair, quite long, and he was sure he could see his eyes brighting in the dark. He closed the door, went in the alley. Angel picked up the note which was in the alley. He smiled, coldly, a bit scarry, reading it -it was one of the many powers of the DAD-, and then went to the boy. He opened the gate, and starred at him, without any expression.
Needing you, uh ?
His tone was equal, but he was clearly not letting him in without further explanations. It was clear too that he could just close the door. Clear too that he did not fear the kid attacking, maybe because he knew something the boy did not know.

To his surprise, it was a MAN answered the door with the note. Apparently, he had read it. The risk of being caught on the half way of sending, he should have thought of it.
Staring at the man, with his sensible instinct, in a second, Coi learned he was a cold, arrogant and cruel man. In his eyes, mercy died. No denying, he was powerful too. Fear no, but just a bit of surprise. As for his doubt, Coi only wanted to sneeze it off.
Even though this man standing in front of him might be someone important to that woman, mistress, servant or guard-he didn’t really care about- the thinking of not seeing and talking straightly to Eden made him annoyed. He didn’t like words to be transferred or translated. Twisted and waste. Not that fool, he would tell him nothing.
Even if having so much “don’t block the way” and “why should I answer you” thought, still, impatience had died down through his plain face. He looked the man without any mood. They two stood here for about a minute in silence.
He snapped. The note faded out. A read message by a wrong person was totally a waste.
Then he found his voice in their hanging:
“Ever Deem Ever Need.”
Checking around through his corner of eyes, to make sure there was no one near, he whispered:
“wind brings words.”
He had no fear. Anyway, the least luck was to leave.
Looking back at the man, in a neutral tone, he said: “After you.”
Extending his hand for gesturing the lead...
It was dangerous for standing outside.
And cold.

The boy and Angel starred at each other, each one as deprived of emotion as the other. No move, no word. It could last long, but the boy was the first to break the silence of the night. He snapped, and the note destroyed itself.
A magician, so.
Then he muttered, and his words were carried by the wind to him, and he could guess, not only to him. He smirked. The boy was still at the portal, and he was at the door. It was like 5 ou 6 metters to go, that the boy did not cross (and he was doing just right, because of course, everything was under protection).
But the Arma Hominium heard a noise, above him, at the window of the beautiful Eden’s room.
What is this, Angel ?
He did not answer.
Oh, a boy ! So young …
Then, noises again. The window closed, and there was some footstep above him. Then, a door opened, and footsteps went closer. They went down the stairs, crossed the hallway, and then, a tender but dangerous hand was on his shoulder while a sweet perfume was filling the air around him.
Eden was here.
He knew that if she had made the effort to come down, she had felt something about this boy. Her flair was never wrong. Dressed with a night dress of red muslin and organza, playing with transparency, her hair caressing her shoulder, free. She did not wear any makeup, which seemed to make her even more beautiful.
So, you are afraid of a little boy, you dangerous Dust ?
Her tone was mocking. He gritted teeths, but did not say anything and fade away as she said:
Come, boy, comme, enter, do not dare for this boorish man.
And then, the boy was inside the mannor. Angel went back at his home, out of stare. It was just her and the teenager, now, even if he was gonna stay on the lookout.

There, far above, a woman’s voice. It couldn’t be mistaken. Even if the sound had been reduced due to the magical protection cover… still, a slight and tiny vibration had no way to escape from his sensitive and peaceful mind. Magic was something living in silence and nobility, so was he.
He snickered. The man didn’t react, not even perking up his ears or eyebrows, not standing aside and letting him in. His cold stare locked his steps… as if there were a blade hidden behind, just one move, nothing could be assured.
He waited.
He knew SHE was coming and later would kick this man out of his sight.
With footsteps getting near, louder and clearer, his confidence of mission possible was built.
There, less than five minutes, the woman, as he wished, whom he came for, showing up in her beautiful and glamorous night dress. That power of smell was exactly as attractive as her beauty. Her hair caressed her shoulder, as thin string of clouds luring the moon at night, that gentle, that careless. Coi stared at this woman...
Losing his mind for her? Such vulgar mistake was not written in his blood. However, it would be interesting if he could make deals with this one of a kind beauty. Perhaps, seeing her need from him was the most pleasant thing.
Not acting as cold-blood as that day in JO, totally opposite, her tenderness and kindness were like whispering, that soft and trackless. Even voice seemed to be melody. He could sure in this world, women like her were less than five. Not to mention her intelligence, seeing her way of casting the man was obvious. Complicated and sophisticated.
He snickered to see him off. On him, he wasted so much time.
Entering in her mansion, inside the protective cover… voice and vision got more clear and vivid.
In polite, Coi bowed slightly and said in a neat tone:
“Merci, ma’am.”
Sweet fragrance swinging around, in usual, lamentable he thought it was but not today, worn on this woman, it was perfect and their discussion and wise decision would be made as delightfully as such sweetness sleeping tonight, he believed.
“May your lead.”
Apparently, they both had an nonverbal agreement on wind brings words… Never made speech in public, only fools did that.
Therefore, he followed Eden.
He was someone she needed. No denying.
Ambition was shown in his silent footsteps and shadowing guard.

Of course, she knew he was here long before he even started to try to enter.
Of course she knew.
Of course, she watched the exchange with Angel from her Window, and of course, she heard everything.
Of course, she smiled. Of course the watch dog diverted her. He was so obedient, it was a pity. Seeing how she transformed a beautiful and independent man, one of the most efficient Elysion killer into a not very efficient butler was such a delight to her. Of course the arrogance of the kid entertained her. He looked like he did not fear anything, and this was so stupid she couldn’t tell. He had the guts to come hre and ask for her, surely after seeing her at the Olympics and the jailhouse breaking. He had the guts to face Angel, et to defy him. He had something in mind, of course. And she could feel in had magic inside, a strong magic.
So, in order to haste things a little, and to humiliate Angel a bit more, she spoke.
She opened the window, and asked Angel what in was, like if she did not know it. Without any answer from him, she leaned, like she did not know who was here, highlighting her chest, her white skin shining in the night light. Her hair seemed to peacefully flow from her back to her shoulder, and then to her chest, shimmering. She acted as if she discovered the boy, and shut her window, crossed the room to the step. She went down the stairs, and walked to the door. She put her hand on Angel’s shoulder, sweet but firm. It was an order, and he knew it.
She mocked him in front of the boy, and then, invited to boy to come in, putting Dust back in this place: his teeny tiny house. The boy went into the hallway, and thanked her.
Ma’am ? she laughed. If I am “ma’am.”, you are “kiddo”, and seeing you, I’m quite sure you will not like it. Call me Eden, please.
Her laugh was delicious, her voice was a tender music. She smiled at him when he spoke, and, with a arm move, she showed him the way to the living room. She went inside herself, and chose the red velvet armchair, the one she always used.
Please, take a seat, young man.
With a slight gesture, she made a silver tray fly to them, filled with glasses, cups, hot water, cold water, coffee, and tea. There was also alcohol, and some little sandwiches. It landed gently on the low table between them.
Please yourself. If you need anything, please tell me.
She smiled at him.
So what gives me the pleasure of your visit, mister … ?
Bu this simple words, she invited him to decline his identity, and the reason to his presence in her living room in the dark of the night.
Of course she knew.

A slight nod.
Steps led them into a grand and luxurious living room. Vermilion came at first sight as if blood embellished water in rush. He narrowed the eyes, a quick and neat observation swept over every inch of decoration and corner.
What an eye-piercing colour tone -RAL 2002- he named the number in his mind. Dislike tipped his skin. Too exaggeratedly stupid and heavily dumb for him, let alone carried on normal people, however- looking back at Eden- this devouring colour went along well with her charismatic figure surprisingly, as if it were born in her breath.
Sitting on the velvet red armchair, Eden gestured him for a seat. A slight nod. A choose of nice distance for their discussion was picked, a corner-made seat. Soft and warm. With back leaning on, he put the arm on armrest. No hasty. No fear. No nervousness.
A faint smile flickered across his lips by seeing Eden serve them a dish of desert and drinks in a magic flick. Nice. The silver tray breathed out a track of chill under the living refreshment.
Without any moment of waste, Eden stroke out a beautiful hit of asking. Why was he here?
He then bent to prop the red wine glass up, saying in smile with toast posture:
“TRUST built before everything.”
A sip. Wine smoothed his throat. No better trust proven by personal act.
“I hope no ears around and out of these walls.”
Clearly, a smell of magical cover was set in Eden’s house and that was her right to do that; yet, not the right to have eavesdroppers for both of them. Such a trashy matter, better to get it straight in advance.
He pursed his lips for a pause. Grape scent diffusing in the mouth, he then put back the glass wine in gentle and get back with a “precise and clear” word:
“L’ombre.”
Cut it right in the middle.
Coi looked at Eden in serious and solemn look. He did not evade HIM. He did not have to. He had no frighten or shame. Keep it pithy was his respect to him.
“That’s why I came. Of course and you. News is running in everyone’s speak, about the war and army. Either fear or courage. Perhaps, you’ve known it well. And now I am proposing the possibility of our corporation.”
He then drew a bust of wind with few fingers circling and a lightly flick. A sudden gust boosted out and boomed away from the other side of window, making curtains dancing in big waves and glass shaking in lamentable sound.
Coi snicked.
“I am Coi, Dragile. Draw to turn things real as your pleasure, Eden, once I am on your side.
But I have a condition..”

Eden smiled and toasted with him, with a glass of red wine too. When he spoke about ears, she had a little laugh:
Ears ? No, there are never unwanted listeners, here, don’t worry.
Her eyes were shining, and she looked at him directly. Of course, there were ears here; but this was ears she had chosen. The whole house was possible to listen for L’Ombre, and, when she wanted to, for her Brothers and Sisters,a nd for Angel, too. Just when she wanted it.
Then, he said the reason of his visit. So direct !
*Alright, I like it.*
She smiled at him, her cheekbones going up. So, this little guy wanted to have a contact with the Master of the Dark ? She played with her fingers on the armchair, and then slided her head on her hand, one finger curbed on her beautiful red lips, looking with attention to this little guy.
When he mentioned a corporation, she raised an eyebrow, and when he made a little tempest in her own house she nodded. Then, with a simple gesture, she put back the curtains, closed the windows, and rearranged what had been messed up.
So, Coi Dragile, you think you can be usefull for L’Ombre ? Interesting …
She leaned towards him, pushing her cleavage just enough to fascinate.
And so, what is that condition, young man ? I can’t wait to discover it …
Her voice was sweet and bewitching, her beautiful eyes watching him without blinking. She was really interested, and more than that, intrigued, by such an assurance.

A skilled smile. Were he not to be so “useful” in confidence, fear might have chased him away from this woman. He love this word. He love everything that could make this world stronger. Those useless men and women and creature were just refuse, even worse for being non-recyclable.
Yet, a useful man had to find his value of exchange. As a gifted barking dog, it had no difference with those waste. Degrading himself to please superior wasn’t what he came for.
Coi said in contempt:
“Ha, it will soon be two-way useful, I believe.”
He continued:
“Now, I have a fate of birth, which may brings us trouble if I join in your group. It’s called-kill fate- I will carry on the power from a random person whom I kill next; however, in the battle, you never know who is useful to your and who is not so now I want to break it for my life long. If you could take me to my father who I never met before and break my fate of birth. Sooner or later, after I obtain the power of sea… Conquering the world will not be a dream. And I believe only you can get my fate of birth break for your mighty power and I will be loyal to you ever after.”
In his saying, neither pleasing nor pitiful tone could be heard. However, his seriousness did bring things solemn.
Looking at Eden, he added:
“Or you have any way to let me surpass my fate of birth and become a dragon straightly? Tell me if you need more detail.”
A sip. of wine.
A snicker.

She listened to him quietly, with attention, raising her eyebrows at the good moments, smiling at others. Her face expressed interest, but a little mockery, too, and this was a strange mix, which made her expression quite indecipherable. In fact, seeing a boy so young with such insurance and without any fear was something quite new for her. Usually she was attractive or scary, sometimes both, never neither. Here the boy seemed fascinated, but not scared, nor in adoration.
So … Dragon-Human, hmm ?
She smiled.
Do you already have the elements ? Because I’m afraid without them, I could break your birth fate how often I want, you’ll never be at your better power level.
She laened towards him:
And L’Ombre is not interested in the ones who are not the bests.
She went back in her chair, put her arms on the armrests.
I have no doubt about my ability to free you from fate. We could find your father, and destroy him if that’s your wish. It would not be difficult at all. But it would be cheating on nature, and one day or another, I have no doubt: you’ll pay. It’s quite evident that you’ll pay at the moment we need you the most.
She smiled. Cheating on nature was their specialty. They were eternals. But they were special. Not everyone could be that powerful, that perfect, that special.
I don’t say I can’t help you. I just say that it will not be the most interesting for me, nor you.
She had a gesture of the hand.
Of course, you can still be one of us. This is the best choice: what else could you do ? You seem powerful. You seem smart. And you wouldn’t be there, if you did not know join us is the best to do nowadays. And we can get you things you don’t ever imagine, including powers, of course. But you’ll never as well treated as if you had your full capacities, young man.

Coi looked at this woman straightly with no sign of scare. In her pair of eyes, charisma stayed. He didn’t take his eyes off her and he wouldn’t admit he couldn’t do that. There, those unlettered expression between them was something he tried to interpret… or balance.
He sneered when she mentioned L’ombre’s arrogance. He just couldn’t hold it back, and the “grimly” sound nearly cut off the sound of wind from the garden outside the window, which might be rude? but he didn’t care about it really. L’ombre still needed someone to get the world for him, didn’t he?
However, Eden did say something stuck to the facts. What if he violated his damn it birth fate and lost… or should pay the debt afterward and now he had no clue where his father exactly at in honest since he got memory. Born in an egg with no father aside. What an interesting. And no, he wouldn’t take any way but the best one for himself. Sure without doubts.
He held his chin in his left hand and caught his lower lip with the edge of white even teeth. Fingers drummed on the armchair. He took a deep breath. In less than fifteen second, he spoke with a low voice:
“Never seen an appearance of my father, nor known the place he was ever at. Only the way to meet him is to get the power of transferring myself into a dragon. that’s why I came to you. And yes, I agree with you about fate and power. It’s me taking too many steps further. Pardon.
Then what about this: I being your assistance, a refine you can say, but not a killer, and you helping me get through it without any condition once I have power to meet my father, at any rate and once. If not a deal, I’ll leave.”
Assistance was not on his mind indeed but for having a chance to meet his father and change his fate, it seemed to be the only way. Nevertheless, he wouldn't be others' but only Eden's.
He added in a secret and “best beautiful” smile:
“Drawing you anything you need is my best pleasure. That’s my talent. Only and all, Eden.”
An arrowhead in airy scratch, Coi gave out---
An arrow shot, pointing at the sculpture directly-right at the eagle’s left eyeball in cruel speed.
Then a snap.
Everything turned quiet and calm again.
Nothing happened. Magic broke.
Coi curved a satisfied smile again.

It was some magic. She was not impressed by the trick, classic, but by the precision the boy had in his manipulation, in his creation. She smiled. He was tough, and did not want to let go his goal. Very well. He seemed at his measure, and quite powerful, even though a lot was again to learn. He was charming, and manipulative, so he had all the qualities required to be at her service, and would be a better page than this dog of Angel, incapable of anything softness, any discretion, any finesse. She touched his cheek slightly, with her lightly cold fingers, giving him her perfume to smell.
Very well, young man, very well. It was beautiful magic. You have quite a mastering in your abilities, and I have no doubt you can become very powerful.
*And useful*
Then, she handed him her hand.
So, we have a deal. You owe me assistance, and to use your powers to my pleasure. I keep you alive once you’ve met your father, and have your maximum powers.
She smiled at him. The deal was quite simple, she had to admit it.
